Journal Your Journey From Egypt

Do you keep a journal?

Do you journal God’s blessings in your life?

Do you regularly write about the things God is showing you in His Word?

Do you keep written records of your journey to the debt-free lifestyle?

If not, you might want to start. The Word of God says in Numbers 33:1-2 in the New Living Translation:

“This is the route the Israelites followed as they marched out of Egypt under the leadership of Moses and Aaron. At the Lord’s direction, Moses kept a written record of their progress. These are the stages of their march, identified by the different places where they stopped along the way.”

In reading this passage of scripture there are some who will immediately think that doesn’t apply to me because I’ve never been to Egypt. But the truth of the matter is that way too many believers are living in a spiritual Egypt where their life is not their own.

Seven Stupid Decisions

Have you ever observed someone doing something really stupid? Did you feel like telling them that one stupid decision could change their lives forever?

I recently witnessed such an occurrence and advised the person of what I felt to be the error of their ways.

Truthfully, I have no control over whether or not this person would heed my words but I did what was right. . .spoke the truth in love. Before God, that’s all I can do except PRAY which I will do.

As I was thinking about this conversation I felt prompted to write and record “One Stupid Decision” however God had a different and better idea. . .He directed me to write "Seven Stupid Decisions."

Personal Prayer Request

Every day we pray for partners of this ministry.  In fact, we have Gideon Prayer Warriors that lift folks up in prayer every day. . .but today, Bev and I have a personal prayer request.

We have a close friend and ministry supporter who is one of the Godliest people we've ever met.  She owns a real estate company and needs to sell a specific house  within 48 hours.

I've prayed similiar prayers for others over the years but tonight I feel impressed to ask everybody who is a part of the Debt Free Army family to pray for Suzi and the immediate sale of this property.

Thank you for joining us in this our personal prayer request.  God bless you.

Do What I Say Not What I Do

Have you ever heard the expression . . .  “Do what I say, not what I do?”

I’m here to tell you that thought pattern may work with certain members of your family, or your friends and maybe even your co-workers . . . but it definitely does not carry God’s Good Housekeeping Approval of Words well spoken.

The statement “Do what I say, not what I do” is at best hypocritical . . . at worst, it’s a flimsy excuse for sin and/or personal foolishness.

Your Heavenly Father wants you doing what He says . . . PERIOD. PARAGRAPH.

Matthew 5:37 in the Amplified Bible says:

“Let your Yes be simply Yes, and your No be simply No; anything more than that comes from the evil one.”
